The Olympia Ogres did just enough to sneak past the Ithaca Fighting Imps, 5-4, at The Ogre Den. Olympia pitcher Alfonso Ríos, in particular, had a standout performance. The 9th-place Ogres hiked their record to 14-19.

The Ogres got a big at-bat from catcher Ralph Elmore. For the game, Elmore was 1 for 2 with a double and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 6th double of the season gave Olympia a 2-0 lead.
