Though he had a terrific game, Rich Loudermilk could not prevent his team, the Vancouver Vipers, from absorbing a loss. Marquette won the game, 6-5. Loudermilk went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. The Miners now have a record of 19-15.

Marquette used the timely hitting of Choong-suk Yun to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Miners on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Marquette manager José Luna.
