Getting an impressive start from Nick Hensley, Mercer Island beat Chesapeake by the score of 3-2. Hensley yielded 2 runs over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 9. His record improves to 4-2. Joe Simpson closed the door for Mercer Island, picking up his 8th save of the year.

Mercer Island second baseman Ali Aghamirzaeijenaghard said he was just trying to make contact when he came to bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the sixth.
