Miners Come Up Short at Ithaca, 5-4
The Ithaca Fighting Imps withstood an impressive performance by Marquette second baseman Daniel Tidwell to defeat the Miners, 5-4, at Imps Park. Tidwell went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Luke Little, the winner, improved to 7-0. He held Marquette to 3 runs on 6 hits over 7 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts. The Fighting Imps boast a remarkable 29-6 record.

The Fighting Imps got a big at-bat from shortstop Walt Meyer. For the game, Meyer went 1-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 6th double of the season gave Ithaca a 2-1 lead.
