Enuma Helps Miners Beat Ogres, 10-5
|
The Marquette Miners defeated the Olympia Ogres by the score of 10-5, with the biggest share of the credit going to left fielder Laakea Enuma. Enuma went 2 for 2 with 2 doubles and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for the Miners on the day. Marquette is now 22-15, Olympia 16-21.
Alex Cooper was a prime factor in the win for the Miners. In the bottom of the fourth with no one out, the 26-year old catcher hit a 2-run single. He went 1-4 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We're a talented bunch when we're playing well," said Enuma. "I think we showed that here."
