Bacosa K's 11 En Route to 5-1 Chukars Win
|
The Idaho Falls Chukars went home winners at Idaho Falls Park, thanks in large part to starter Jose Bacosa. Bacosa stifled the Belleville Bulls, enabling Idaho Falls to grab the 5-1 win. Picking up the save was Marty Harber, his 2nd. The loss makes Belleville 7-4.
Bacosa earned the win, going 7 strong innings for Idaho Falls. The native of Davao, Philippines, allowed just 2 hits, while striking out 11. Belleville hitters did next to nothing against the right-hander.
"Main thing is I want the team to win," Bacosa told a reporter after the game. "Just have to go out there, take care of my job, and give my team a chance to win."
