The home crowd had a good time watching the Mexico City Blue Demons and Boston Patriots get after it.

Kharouf bin Hajjaj was a major factor in the 6-4 Boston win over Mexico City. The Patriots designated hitter was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Boston reliever Juan Sánchez picked up the win, upping his record to 4-0. Caleb Bullock was saddled with the loss. Iiri Lahti sewed up the save, his 8th.

With Boston trailing 3-2 in the bottom of the fifth, bin Hajjaj hit a fastball from Caleb Bullock for a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Patriots ahead, 5-3.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," bin Hajjaj said.

The Patriots improved to 50-45.
