Krewe Squeeze Out Win in Pitching Duel
Starting pitcher Jesse Blanton gave the Crescent City Krewe a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Bethesda Atoms, 1-0, at Field of the Krewe. Jeff Fisher came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. The Krewe now have a record of 21-18 with the win over Bethesda.

Martin Watson was 1-2 with a walk for Crescent City. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, Watson, who is tied for 10th in the PAA with a .308 batting average, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Bethesda hurler Dan Black, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Krewe a 1-0 lead.

"Jesse pitched his heart out," said Crescent City manager Jack Morton.
