Nuevo Mexico Topples Olympia, 3-1

Starting pitcher Gilberto Espinoza gave the Nuevo Mexico Mariachis a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Olympia Ogres, 3-1, at The Ogre Den. The 6th-place Mariachis are 20-21.
Carter Clark came through with a big-time hit for Nuevo Mexico. The designated hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 2-0. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"My job is to throw quality pitches, go as deep as I can, and give us an opportunity," said Espinoza.
