Nuevo Mexico third baseman Santiago Ybarra helped his team beat the Bethesda Atoms, 9-4. Ybarra, who is tied for 2nd in the PAA in triples with 2, went 3 for 4 for the Mariachis. Harry Arrington collected save number 1. Nuevo Mexico is 6th in the Premier AA with a record of 19-22.

Nuevo Mexico used a clutch at-bat from Tim Bender to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Mariachis ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Bender.
