The home team gave their fans plenty to cheer about, with a thrilling walk-off win.

The Gulf Coast Turbeaus faced a tough opponent in Vancouver pitcher Juan Cruz, but still scratched out a win at Mobile Home Park by a final score of 6-5 in 10 innings. Cruz went 5.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. Gulf Coast now sports a record of 14-28.

The game reached a climactic end in the bottom of the tenth. With Gulf Coast trailing 5-4, Tom Evans delivered the decisive blow, stroking a cutter from Rodney Johnson for a 2-run double. Ballgame.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Turbeaus manager Neal Davis. "This one was nice to get."
