Behind the hitting of Keng-chi Zhou, the Crescent City Krewe stopped the Squirrel Hill Pierogis, 8-5. Zhou went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times for the Krewe. Crescent City reliever Sylvain Maire was the winner. His record is now 3-2. Martin Lumley took the loss. Picking up the save was Jack MacAlonie, his 2nd.
Crescent City took a 8-5 lead on Dylan Briggs's 3rd double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Briggs hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Squirrel Hill pitcher Martin Lumley visibly frustrated.
"We maximized our offense today," said Crescent City skipper David Martínez. "That makes everyone's life easier."
Crescent City, at 31-14, occupies second place in the Premier AA.
