Voodoo Suffer 6-4 Setback

The Seattle Rocketeers topped the New Orleans Voodoo, 6-4, in United States Premier League action at The Voodoo Lounge. The game was highlighted by the performance of Seattle pitcher Jason Kofod. The Rocketeers are now 47-49, while the Voodoo fall to 56-40.
Seattle used a clutch hit from Mel Kiper III to get the win. The catcher drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Rocketeers ahead, 6-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a doozy.
"I'm happy we won," said Kofod. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
