Screaming Eagles Collect 2-1 Win Over Pierogis
The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles picked up a win at Mercer Island Grounds, knocking off the Squirrel Hill Pierogis, 2-1. On the mound for Mercer Island was right-hander Eric Buchanan, who played a pivotal role in the win. The first-place Screaming Eagles sport a record of 33-13.

The clutch hit was provided by Orlando Figoroa. He delivered a walk-off run-scoring single off Laionela Pualani in the bottom of the tenth.

"This is a resilient bunch," said Mercer Island manager Ricardo Vargas.
