With designated hitter Carter Clark leading the charge, the Nuevo Mexico Mariachis defeated the Arizona Javelina, 9-1, at Mariachi Band Shell. Clark, who is tied for 2nd in the PAA with a .892 OPS, was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. After today's action, Nuevo Mexico sits at 23-24, while Arizona falls to 21-26.
The two teams provided some entertaining baseball for the Mariachi Band Shell crowd. Regardless of the outcome, a good time was had by all.
