Mercer Island pitcher Nick Hensley did his part in helping his team defeat the Olympia Ogres, 2-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the left-hander. Mercer Island is now 26-21, while Olympia is 19-28.

Mercer Island went up, 2-1, on Wally Green's 4th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Green hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Olympia pitcher Clarence Butler shaking his head.

"All in all, I thought Nick pitched a fine game for us tonight," said Mercer Island manager Jonah Moody.
