Vipers Rally to Win
The Vancouver Vipers defeated the Crescent City Krewe, 7-5, at Vipers Ballpark. Vancouver catcher Ilija Maric had a superb performance. He went 3 for 4 with 3 singles. He scored 2 times. Bobby Spears picked up the save for Vancouver, his 14th of the year. The Vipers saw their win-loss record go to 25-22. At the same time, the Krewe fell to 23-24.

Had Hamilton Young not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Young hit a 2-run single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Vipers.

"Winning never gets dull," said Young.
