Pierogis Cut Down Screaming Eagles, 5-2

The Squirrel Hill Pierogis topped the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 5-2, in USPL Double A action at Mercer Island Grounds. The game was highlighted by the performance of Squirrel Hill pitcher Bill Bray. The Pierogis now have a mark of 27-21.
Squirrel Hill used the timely hitting of Arnie McKnight to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Pierogis on top, 3-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Bray called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
