Krewe Trip Screaming Eagles, 3-1, in Extra Innings
|
In a low-scoring game between Crescent City and Mercer Island, Jessie Wolfe was fantastic. The Krewe right-hander, who is tied for 7th in the PAA with a 1.11 WHIP, helped his team beat the Screaming Eagles, 3-1, in 10 innings. Ki-moon Sin finished the game for Crescent City and earned his 19th save. With the win, the Krewe have a record of 31-17.
Crescent City used the timely hitting of Umberto Bartelen to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Krewe on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Wolfe. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
