Agpalasin Goes Deep Twice in 5-2 Fighting Imps Win
|
The Ithaca Fighting Imps topped the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas, 5-2, at Imps Park. Ithaca designated hitter Efren Agpalasin was a spark plug for the offense. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Nick Watson nailed down his 9th save. The Fighting Imps are now 22-26, while the Cangrejos Fantasmas fall to 30-18.
Agpalasin had a crucial hit for Ithaca with two out in the bottom of the third. With Ithaca trailing 1-0, Agpalasin hit a 3-run home run. It was his 11th home run of the season and put the Fighting Imps ahead, 3-1.
"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Agpalasin told the Ithaca Bulletin.
