Screaming Eagles Need Extra Innings to Top Vipers, 7-6
The Vancouver Vipers got a sterling performance from pitcher Gil Burke, but the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles still prevailed, 7-6. Burke threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The third-place Screaming Eagles have won 6 in a row.

The Screaming Eagles got a clutch hit from pinch hitter Nari Crapanzano. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Screaming Eagles.

Crapanzano told a Mercer Island Citizen reporter that he felt "ecstatic" after the win.
