Gwinnett Dealt 7-3 Defeat
|
Wyatt Hathaway had a good game, but he could not keep the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs from falling, 7-3, to the Bethesda Atoms at Atoms Field. The Gwinnett third baseman was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles in the loss. Picking up the save was 27-year old right-handed pitcher Robert Walls. Bethesda bumps their record to 29-21 with the win.
Blake Murray, who is tied for 7th in the PAA with a .315 batting average, took Gwinnett hurler Brooks Brown deep in the bottom of the first. His 2-run home run put the Atoms on top, 2-0. In all, Murray had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"We did a lot of things right," said Murray.
