Multi-HR Game for Féliz in 6-4 Win
|
With center fielder Júlio Féliz leading the charge, the Marquette Miners defeated the Bethesda Atoms, 6-4, at Atoms Field. Féliz, who leads the PAA in triples with 3, went 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. Marvin Glendenning, the winner, improved to 3-1. He held Bethesda to 3 runs on 3 hits over 6.1 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts. Marquette now has a record of 26-24 with the win.
In the top of the third, Féliz had a 2-run home run for Marquette. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Miners on top, 2-0.
"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Féliz told the Marquette Observer.
