The Olympia Ogres cruised to a win over the Gulf Coast Turbeaus, 12-3, at The Ogre Den. Ed Brandon led the way, going 4-for-4 for Olympia. The losing streak for Gulf Coast has now reached 8 games.

The Ogres got a big hit from second baseman Moromao Akechi. Facing Gulf Coast pitcher Sebastian Pease in the bottom of the sixth, Akechi pounded a grand slam home run to right. His 2nd home run of the season put the Ogres ahead, 9-3.

"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said Gulf Coast manager Neal Davis.
