The Gwinnett Guinea Pigs defeated the Bethesda Atoms, 7-3, at Atoms Field. Nick Tobías was a standout performer for Gwinnett. His 3 hits included 2 singles and 1 double -- this in addition to the 2 runs he scored and 2 he knocked in. Matt Griffin earned the save for Gwinnett, his 12th of the year. The loss makes Bethesda 29-22.

Gwinnett used the timely hitting of Pierrick Pasquet to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Guinea Pigs on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I think it speaks for itself, I think we came out and we played our kind of baseball," said Tobías.
