The Nuevo Mexico Mariachis eked out a 1-0 win versus the Crescent City Krewe at Field of the Krewe. Nobody did more than pitcher Bob Ashley. He was terrific. The win for the Mariachis lifted their record to 26-25.

Donnie MacKim, who is tied for 10th in the PAA in doubles with 9, had a timely hit in the top of the fifth inning. With two out and a runner on 3rd, the Nuevo Mexico left fielder hit a run-scoring single. That put the Mariachis in front, 1-0.

"That's baseball," said Crescent City manager Jack Morton. "You're not always going to be hitting on all cylinders."
