Ithaca Gets 1-0 Win
|
The Ithaca Fighting Imps welcomed the Marquette Miners to an night game at Marquette Stadium.
The Fighting Imps grabbed a win, 1-0, at Marquette Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Marquette pitcher Jacobim Mugatu. Mugatu went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. The Fighting Imps now own a record of 25-27.
The Fighting Imps got a big at-bat from designated hitter Efren Agpalasin. For the game, Agpalasin was 2-4 with 2 doubles. In the top of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 18th double of the season gave Ithaca a 1-0 lead.
"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Agpalasin.
