William Maxwell pitched well, but the Mancelona Torch still fell short, losing, 3-2, to the Alameda Airmen at Torch Field. Juan Martínez notched his 1st save of the season. The loss drops Mancelona to 8-6.
In the top of the sixth inning, left fielder Iván Cervantes delivered a key hit for the Airmen. With Alameda trailing 2-0, he ripped a 2-run home run.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Cervantes said after the game.
