Pierogis Walk It Off for 30th Win of Season
Asheville got a decent performance from pitcher Joe Hunt, but it wasn't enough to beat the Squirrel Hill Pierogis. Squirrel Hill won the Field of the Rawhides contest, 4-3. Hunt threw 5.2 innings allowing 3 runs for the losing team. The Pierogis go to 30-24, putting them 4th in the Premier AA.

The Pierogis procured the win, in large part because of left fielder Jacob Cox. In the bottom of the 12th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

"We didn't go down without a fight," said Asheville manager Robby Long.
