Field of the Rawhides was the site of a tense game between the Squirrel Hill Pierogis and Bethesda Atoms.

The Bethesda Atoms earned a close win over the Squirrel Hill Pierogis, thanks in part to Keolamauloa Adoniia. The Bethesda left-hander, who is tied for 7th in the PAA with a 2.97 ERA, played a key role in the 3-2 victory. The winning pitcher was Adoniia, now 4-2. He tossed 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 7. Marlon Henderson earned the save for Bethesda, his 9th of the year.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Brett Alexander? The Bethesda shortstop had a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Atoms on top, 3-2. For the game, Alexander had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"I was talking to myself on the mound, saying 'attack, attack, attack, stay convicted, no matter what,'" said Adoniia.

Bethesda bumps their record to 25-29 with the win.
