Getting an impressive start from Edgar O'Curran, Bethesda beat Olympia by the score of 4-1. Will Bennett got the save, the 16th for him this season. The second-place Atoms go to 31-23.
Bethesda used the timely hitting of Ed Farr to capture the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Atoms on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but he made it count.
O'Curran called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
