St. Petersburg Loses Again, 7-4
The Minnesota Loons knocked off the St. Petersburg Thunder, 7-4, in USPL Double A action at Baby Thunder Dome. Minnesota pitcher and Grand Island, New York, native Matt Dougherty had an outstanding performance. The Thunder, at 24-31, have lost 7 straight games.

Minnesota used a clutch at-bat from Jeff Moultrie to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Loons ahead, 5-4. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Same old, same old, unfortunately," said losing manager Terrence Eler.
