Chase Davis, who finished 4th in the PL in wins with 10 in 2054, was locked in. The left-hander led the Ft. Worth Cattlemen to a 5-1 win against the Detroit Elite at Detroit Stadium. Davis got the win, improving to 5-5. He gave up 3 hits and walked 1 over 5 innings. He allowed 1 run. The last-place Elite have dropped 7 straight games.

Rob Robinson had a big 2-run home run for the Cattlemen in the top of the second inning. With Ft. Worth leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a splitter from 28-year old left-handed pitcher Frank Randolf and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Cattlemen on top, 3-0.

"No one likes losing," said Detroit manager Kyle Salow. "But we'll turn this thing around."
