Vancouver Falls Again, 6-2
|
Marquette pitcher Holden Roberts did his part in helping his team defeat the Vancouver Vipers, 6-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. The losses continue to add up for Vancouver, having now dropped 8 straight.
Had Clancy Hendricks not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Hendricks hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Miners.
"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Rafael Longoria.
