Bryan Catron was a major contributor to the 5-3 Nuevo Mexico win over Squirrel Hill. The Mariachis center fielder hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. With the victory, the Mariachis upped their record to 29-29.

Catron contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Nuevo Mexico in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 2-1, Catron took a fastball from Doug Kellar and stroked the home run to right. His 12th home run of the season allowed the Mariachis to leap in front, 4-2.

Nuevo Mexico manager Allen Carlson praised his team's "energy."
