The Yucca Valley Yellows withstood an impressive performance by Grand Forks left fielder Albert Castillo to defeat the Caterpillars, 9-3, at The Cocoon. Castillo was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The save went to Pila Milanni, number 1 for him. The Yellows, now 12-3, have played some good baseball in the early going.

Yucca Valley used the hitting of Chris Knight to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the first inning to put the Yellows on top, 1-0. For the game, Knight had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," Knight told the Yucca Valley News.
