The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles topped the Crescent City Krewe, 5-3, in USPL Double A action at Mercer Island Grounds. The game was highlighted by the performance of Mercer Island pitcher Fernando López. Paul Jefferson sewed up the save, his 8th. With the win over Crescent City, the Screaming Eagles improved to 33-27.

Mercer Island center fielder Dane Kennedy landed a blow when he belted a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. It was his 7th home run of the season. With it, the Screaming Eagles took a 2-1 lead.

"It was a good effort all around," said Kennedy.
