Fighting Imps Rebuff Krewe, 3-2
|
In a tight contest between the Ithaca Fighting Imps and the Crescent City Krewe, David Jordan was the determining factor. The Ithaca right-hander sparkled in his team's 3-2 win. Marcus Nielsen collected his 2nd save. The third-place Krewe dropped to 31-29.
Dale King, who is tied for 9th in the PAA in hits with 61, contributed to the Ithaca win with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
After the game, Ithaca manager Albert Pérez applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
