Ogres Edge Screaming Eagles, 2-1
|
The Olympia Ogres used a great performance from Sabri Didier, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2058 draft, to beat the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 2-1, at The Ogre Den. The Ogres now own a record of 27-34.
The Ogres got a big hit from center fielder Clifton Doyle. In the bottom of the sixth, Doyle smacked a 2-run home run off Mercer Island pitcher José García. It was his 9th home run of the season. Suddenly, the Ogres were ahead, 2-1.
"Sabri was able to execute his pitches," said Olympia manager Dale O'Sullivan. "Simple as that."
