Cangrejos Fantasmas Upend Krewe, 4-3
The Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas topped the Crescent City Krewe, 4-3, with youngster Ken Byrd playing a key role. Byrd was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Cangrejos Fantasmas in the win. The winner in relief was Josh Simms. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 3 innings. He now owns a record of 4-4. Mario Pérez closed the door for Chesapeake, picking up his 19th save of the year.

Had Byrd not come through in the top of the seventh, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Byrd hit a 2-run home run. The Cangrejos Fantasmas took the lead, 4-2, and never looked back.
