Downward Spiral Continues for Minnesota
Olympia pitcher Yoshitaka Shinohara did his part in helping his team beat the Minnesota Loons, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Shinohara got the win, improving to 4-7. He gave up 8 hits and walked 0 over 7.1 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Picking up the save was Shafeeq bin Fakhry, his 2nd.

Júlio Medina dealt the Loons a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Olympia leading 1-0, Medina, who is tied for 2nd in the PAA in extra base hits with 35, hit a 2-0 fastball for a run-scoring single.

"I thought Yoshitaka threw the ball well across the board," said Olympia manager Dale O'Sullivan.

The losses continue to add up for Minnesota, having now dropped 8 straight.
