The Ithaca Fighting Imps picked up a win at Mercer Island Grounds, dropping the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 4-2. Gilberto Cruz, who is tied for 7th in the PAA in innings pitched with 88.0, was the difference-maker. Ithaca is 30-33 and Mercer Island, with the loss, 45-18.

Ithaca used the bat of Tony Jump to get the win. The right fielder spanked a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Fighting Imps ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it altered the outcome.

"Gilberto had good arm action, good stuff," said Ithaca manager Albert Pérez.
