Richardson Helps Expos Beat Blue Dragons, 11-4
|
The Niagara Falls Expos topped the Levittown Blue Dragons, 11-4, with youngster Paul Richardson playing a key role. Richardson went 3-5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Expos in the win. Niagara Falls pitcher Hansel McDonald earned the win, hiking his record to 2-0. Orlando Díaz suffered the loss. The win lifts Niagara Falls to a record of 8-8.
Niagara Falls used a clutch at-bat from Giel Reijssen to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Expos ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Reijssen, "one at-bat at a time."
