Atoms Sneak By Saboteurs, 2-1
|
Bethesda starter Julián García put a stranglehold on the Toledo offense. The left-hander had complete command of his sinker in leading the Atoms to a 2-1 win. The Atoms, at 33-30, sit in 4th place in the Premier AA.
The decisive blow was delivered by Reinaart Zegers in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a solo home run off 27-year old right-handed pitcher Allan Reid to win the game for Bethesda. The home crowd went nuts.
"That's a solid team effort right there," said Zegers. "Everyone's feeling positive after that win."
