Ogres Get One-Run Win at Nuevo Mexico
Gilberto Espinoza pitched well, but the Nuevo Mexico Mariachis still lost the game, falling, 3-2, to the Olympia Ogres at Mariachi Band Shell. Mark Sims was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 16 of 17 save opportunities. The 7th-place Ogres now have a win-loss record of 28-36.

The Ogres got a big at-bat from designated hitter Ken Ball. For the game, Ball went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Olympia a 3-1 lead.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Ball said.
