The Arizona Javelina earned a close win over the Crescent City Krewe, thanks in part to Kenny Wallace. The Arizona left-hander, who leads the PAA in complete games with 2, played a key role in the 2-1 victory. Marko Tapaninen got the save, the 16th for him this season. The Javelina win now puts them at 29-35.

Jimmie Rustler had a big solo home run for the Javelina in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Arizona leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a changeup from Truman Coleman, who is tied for 2nd in the PAA in quality starts with 8, and punished it. The result was his 6th home run of the season, which put the Javelina on top, 2-0.
