Fading Yellows Lose 6th Straight
The Niagara Falls Expos took Yucca Valley pitcher Fernando Rivera's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Waterfall Park. The final score had Niagara Falls getting past the Yellows, 5-4. Rivera went 5 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 8. The Yellows fall to 6-10 and continue their lackluster start in 2054.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Niagara Falls second baseman Lee Park, facing Dave Froley, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Expos the 5-4 win.

"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Yucca Valley manager Ricardo Vásquez.
