The Yucca Valley Yellows did just enough to nip the Matlacha Manatees, 4-3, in 10 innings. Yucca Valley pitcher Alejandro Paboal, in particular, had a standout performance. Yucca Valley reliever Mark Davis picked up the win to move to 1-2. Frederick Anderson suffered the loss. The Yellows, with just their 5th win so far in 2058, have yet to catch fire.

The game was at a stalemate until shortstop Roy Bell came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Matlacha pitcher Frederick Anderson, he hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Yucca Valley on top, 4-3.

Bell called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
