Krewe Need Extra Frames to Get Past Miners
The Crescent City Krewe topped the Marquette Miners, 4-3, in 12 innings at Field of the Krewe. The game was highlighted by the performance of Crescent City pitcher José Heredia. Crescent City has run its win streak to 4 consecutive.

Up to bat in the bottom of the 12th, 23-year old center fielder Cris Colón had a chance to be the hero. Marquette pitcher Sancho Sánchez wanted to foil that plan. But with no outs, Colón hit a sacrifice fly. The Krewe had themselves a thrilling win.

"The game of baseball will test you," said Jack Morton, the Crescent City skipper. "This one tested us."
