Frey Now 7-4 After Subduing Krewe
The Gwinnett Guinea Pigs, behind a great outing from Sam Frey, who is tied for 4th in the PAA in wins with 7, defeated the Crescent City Krewe, 1-0, at Experimental Stadium. Matt Griffin was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 16 of 19 save opportunities. The 8th-place Guinea Pigs go to 31-36.

Frey, a native of Houston, Texas, was dealing all game. He kept Crescent City hitters off-balance, while giving the Guinea Pigs 7.1 quality innings. Frey threw 97 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 6.

"Both teams played hard," said Gwinnett manager Cary Collins.
