Krewe Topple Screaming Eagles, 9-4, as Ward Shines
|
The Crescent City Krewe beat the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 9-4, at Mercer Island Grounds. Scott Ward, who is tied for 6th in the PAA in home runs with 11, starred for Crescent City. He went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The first-place Screaming Eagles now sit at 47-20.
Shortstop March Canning made an impact for Crescent City, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Lorenzo Castillo in the top of the fourth. For the contest, Canning was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Ward said.
