The Toronto Thunder trumped the New Orleans Voodoo, 7-3, at The Voodoo Lounge. Toronto catcher Lance Slaymaker was terrific. He was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The Thunder now have a record of 52-47.

With Toronto leading 4-1 in the top of the fifth, Slaymaker hit a fastball from Al Hussey for a 3-run home run. It was his 14th home run of the season and put the Thunder ahead, 7-1.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Slaymaker.
