Robinson Helps St. Petersburg Cruise to 12-3 Win
St. Petersburg first baseman David Robinson was a significant contributor in his team's 12-3 triumph over the Bethesda Atoms. He was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Thunder. The Thunder saw their win-loss record go to 29-38. At the same time, the Atoms fell to 34-33.

With St. Petersburg leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Robinson hit a fastball from Juan Torres for a run-scoring double. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Thunder ahead, 3-1.

"I like winning," Robinson told the St. Petersburg Chronicle. "I may joke around, but when it comes down to it, winning is the most important thing."
