Ogres Cut Down Javelina, 6-3

The Olympia Ogres picked up a win at The Ogre Den, knocking off the Arizona Javelina, 6-3. Starting pitcher Dustin Burgess was a big reason why. In 7 innings, Burgess surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 10 and walking 0. He allowed 3 runs. Getting the save was Mark Sims, his 17th.
Ángelo Carrasco was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Olympia. The 22-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a 2-run single off León Berroa. It was his 56th hit of the season.
"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said Burgess.
The 9th-place Javelina have lost 5 consecutive games.
