Hawks Get Thrilling 2-1 Win
In a low-scoring tilt between the Laredo Hawks and the Niagara Falls Expos, 22-year old right-handed pitcher Howard Stewart was the difference-maker. The Laredo right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win in 13 innings. With the loss, Niagara Falls sinks to 8-9.

The Hawks relied on second baseman César Diéguez for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 13th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"That's baseball," said Niagara Falls manager Joe Gregory. "Sometimes the other team plays better than yours."
