The Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas beat the St. Petersburg Thunder, 10-1, at Ghost Crab Park. The win was due in part to center fielder Ken Byrd, who was 3-5 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Rob Hounsell collected his 1st save. The Cangrejos Fantasmas, at 45-23, lead by one game in their division.
Chesapeake got a big at-bat from Los Angeles, California native Rich Flores, who in the bottom of the second hit a 2-run double. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Cangrejos Fantasmas ahead, 3-0.
